Ingredients

1 bottle
burgundy or claret
1/2 c
sugar
1 1/2 c
boiling water
1/2
thinly sliced lemon
3
cinnamon sticks
3
whole cloves

How to Make Mulled Spiced Wine

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a large saucepan, dissolve the sugar in the boiling water, stirring well.
  • 2Add the wine, cinnamon sticks and cloves.
  • 3Pour into slow cooker with the heat on low. Stir well.
  • 4Heat for at least an hour. Do not allow mixture to boil.
  • 5Serve in mugs.
