Ingredients

  • 2 - 3 packages cocktail weiners or little smokies (hot dogs)
  • - cheddar cheese, sliced, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 pound bacon, cut in 1/2

How To Make mini prairie dogs (hot dog & bacon roll-ups)

  • Step 1
    Slice hot dogs lengthwise almost in 1/2, but not all the way. Stuff with a small thin slice of cheese.
  • Step 2
    Wrap a halved bacon slice around each half of hot dog & secure with a wooden toothpick.
  • Step 3
    Layer in bottom of crock pot, & sprinkle with brown sugar so there is a light covering over hot dog/bacon wraps. Repeat layers until hot dogs are used up.
  • Step 4
    Cover; cook on low 2 - 3 hours.
