Publix Grocery store had mangoes on sale.... 10 for $10.. whoooo! One of my favorite drinks in the world is Mango Lassi. I love making curry, and there is nothing more refreshing and pallet cleansing than a chilly mango lassi. Lassis have a great way of pulling all the spice from Indian curry off your tongue the minute you are done tasting it. Perfect drink. Yummy, sweet and frothy. Here's my recipe for a traditional mango lassi.

Ingredients

  • 2 - whole mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup unflavored yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon green cardamom powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice, fresh
  • - ground cinnamon, garnish

How To Make mango lassi

  • Step 1
VERY EASY!!!! Combine all ingredients; except for the garnish of course; into a blender and blend until very frothy! Serve in a chilled glass and garnish with cinnamon.
  • Step 2
Side note: I preferred a chilled glass over serving it with ice. I find the ice to dilute the lassi as it melts. Not as nice.
