On a cold winter's eve whether spending alone in front of the fire with a good book, or a night playing cards or watching movies with friends, this will warm your taste buds! I have split up the batter and given as gifts at Holiday time!

Ingredients

  • 2 lb
    butter, softened
  • 2 lb
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 lb
    powdered sugar
  • 1/2 gal
    softened french vanilla ice cream
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 2 tsp
    nutmeg
  • ·
    rum or brandy of choice
  • ·
    hot boiling water
  • ·
    whipped cream

How to Make Hot Buttered Rum

Step-by-Step

  1. mix all above ingredients and freeze
  2. to make a mug....8-10 oz boiling water add 2-3 Tbs of the batter and add 1 jigger of Rum or Brandy of choice
    stir and enjoy. Can be topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg
