On a cold winter's eve whether spending alone in front of the fire with a good book, or a night playing cards or watching movies with friends, this will warm your taste buds! I have split up the batter and given as gifts at Holiday time!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds butter, softened
  • 2 pounds brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 pounds powdered sugar
  • 1/2 gallon softened french vanilla ice cream
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons nutmeg
  • - rum or brandy of choice
  • - hot boiling water
  • - whipped cream

How To Make hot buttered rum

  • Step 1
    mix all above ingredients and freeze
  • Step 2
    to make a mug....8-10 oz boiling water add 2-3 Tbs of the batter and add 1 jigger of Rum or Brandy of choice stir and enjoy. Can be topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg
