Ingredients
- 10 - lemons
- 3 3/4 cups vodka (cheaper is best!)
- 5 cups simple syrup (equal parts of water & sugar boiled together)
How To Make homemade limoncello

Step 1Wash lemons thoroughly & peel into long strips, being careful to avoid the white pith on the underside of the peel.

Step 2Put lemon peel in a 2 qt airtight container & pour vodka overtop; steep unrefrigerated at least 1 week & up to 2 months (longer steeping time increases the flavor's intensity).

Step 3Shake the container occasionally. After steeping time, strain out the peels. Add simple syrup to the mixture; it will turn cloudy. Place in the freezer to let it age at least 1 week.
