grapefruit margarita
Margaritas are quite popular in Texas, and there are abundant versions served throughout the state. Some use blends of citrus fruits and other ingredients to create refreshing or unique margarita cocktails. This version combines two favorites from Texas -- margaritas and the ruby red grapefruit -- for a wonderful and refreshing cocktail in a pretty pink shade. Enjoy!

How To Make grapefruit margarita
-
Step 1If you like salt on glasses, rub a lime around the edge of the glass rims, then dip rims of each glass in a plate of kosher salt. Set aside to dry for a few minutes.
-
Step 2Combine the grapefruit juice, lime juice, orange liqueur and ice in a blender, and puree until smooth. Pour into a large pitcher and stir in the tequila.
-
Step 3If you're not serving the margaritas in salted glasses, stir 1/4 teaspoon of salt into the pitcher of margaritas. Believe me, it will make a difference!
