Gluhwein (Hot Mulled Wine)

Note: I add some room temp sparkling water to the mixture while simmering it to make it a little less strong. I add the sparkling water until I get the taste I prefer.

  •   1 bottle
    750 ml dry red wine
  •   3 - 4 Tbsp
  •   4
    whole cloves
  •   1
    stick of cinnamon
  •   4
    slices lemon + more for garnish

How To Make

    In a pot, heat above ingredients to just a slight not let boil.
  • 2
    Remove from heat and let steep 5 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, remove spices and cooked lemon. Then add a fresh slice of lemon to each glass before pouring the hot wine over it.
