Fjellbekk translates to 'Mountain Stream' in Norwegian. It's a Scandinavian cocktail made with aquavit, a golden-hued liqueur that's flavored with an assortment of herbs and spices (which can vary depending on where it's produced), but principally caraway and dill are the main herbs used to make aquavit. 'Aquavit' translates to 'water of life', and it's a common liqueur used to celebrate festive holidays and special occasions throughout the Scandinavian region. It's most often sipped slowly from a shot glass, but it's also commonly used in a variety of popular mixed cocktails.
