Ingredients
- - 1 fifth dry red wine
- - 2 cups cranberry juice cocktail
- - 1/4 cup sugar
- - 3 whole cloves
- - 1 strip orange peel, 3 x 1/2 inch
- - 1 strip lemon peel, 2 x 1/2 inch
- - 1/2 cup orange juice
- - 1/4 cup lemon juice
- - 1/2 cup sugar cubes
- - 1/4 cup rum
- - orange slices
How To Make firetong punch

Step 1Heat wine, cranberry juice cocktail, sugar, cloves, orange and lemon peel and orange and lemon juice. Don't boil.

Step 2Pour into flameproof punch bowl. Put sugar cubes in strainer; hold over punch. Heat rum. Drizzle a little rum over cubes;

Step 3Ignite sugar cubes.As they flame, gradually spoon remaining heated rum from a long handled ladle over cubes.When all sugar has melted into punch, add a few orange slices. Serve hot. Makes 7 cups.
