I had this punch at a party many years ago and really liked it even though I normally don't care for eggnog itself. Was so happy to see it resurface in Taste of Home magazine! Oldies but goodies always make a comeback! Enjoy! (photo from Taste of Home)

Ingredients

1/2 gallon - peppermint ice cream, more for optional ingredient if desired
1 liter - bottle of club soda, 7up or ginger ale
4 cups - eggnog
1 cup - light rum or vodka, optional
- extra scoops peppermint ice cream on top, optional
- crushed candy canes to rim glasses and punch bowl , optional

How To Make creamy peppermint punch

Step 1

Blend ingredients and pour slowly into punch bowl. Serve immediately. Optional: Moisten rim of glasses and punch bowl and dip into crushed candy canes. Top with extra scoops of peppermint ice cream.
