This is one of my favorite cocktails! Use a good quality gin, it makes a difference. Corpse Revivers were an entire class of pre-Prohibition drinks. They were meant to "raise the dead" or (to be more realistic) the hungover drunk who stumbled into the bar early in the morning.

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce gin
  • 1 ounce cointreau
  • 1 ounce lillet blanc (or cocchi americano
  • 1 ounce 1 oz. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 dash absinthe
  • - orange peel
  • - ice

How To Make corpse reviver #2

  • Step 1
    Add dash of absinthe to a chilled martini glass, tilt and swirl the absinthe to wash the glass.
  • Step 2
    Shake remaining ingredients with ice, strain into glass
  • Step 3
    Garnish with orange peel
