I love to prepare creative recipes. The usual sangria is red and made out of citric. So I decided to create a different and refreshing sangria based on non-acid juices and white zinfandel wine! Take a brake to prepare it!!! I hope that you can enjoy it during this hot summer!! Cheers!

yield about 2 bottles (750 ml ea)

Ingredients

  • 1 can apple nectar
  • 1 can pear nectar
  • 1 can peach nectar
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) good white zinfandel wine (can be white or pink)
  • 1 1/2 cups good vodka
  • 1 cup apple sparkling drink (can be substituted by sparkling water)
  • 1 - peeled and thinly sliced kiwi (in halves)
  • 2 cups lemon iced tea
  • 3 tablespoons colored sugar crystals
  • 1 teaspoon salt

How To Make claires sangria

  • Step 1
Pour the iced tea in 2 ice cube trays. Put a slice of kiwi inside each cube. Place in the freezer until frozen.
  • Step 2
While the iced tea cubes are freezing, use a big bowl to combine the juices(nectar), the sparkling apple drink and the wine. Add the vodka (more or less as desired). Then chill the sangria in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
  • Step 3
In a plate, mix the sugar crystals and the salt. With a paper towel and water; wet the edges of a martini glass and then place it over the crystals and salt mixture to garnish it (like a margarita glass).
  • Refreshing Claires Sangria!!!!
    Step 4
Serve the Claires Sangria in the garnished glass with 2 or 3 kiwi and iced tea cubes. You can also use other fruits to garnish the glass. Enjoy it! Cheers!!!!
