Cherry Lime Mojito

Cara J Mastrangello

I used to work as a bartender and learned so many different cocktail combinations. Even though I rarely drink, this is one of my favorite springtime cocktails.

When made right it has a beautiful presentation and easily impresses your guests with little effort.

3 sprig(s)
fresh mint
lime, cut into wedges
1 1/2 oz
clear rum
1/2 c
cherry or black cherry juice
1/2 c
sparkling water (or sprite)
handful of ice
sliced lime (garnish)
fresh mint leaves (garnish)
cherries, pitted (garnish)

1Place the mint and lime wedges in a glass and using a wooden spoon "muddle" together.
2Add cherry juice and stir together to incorporate.

Put ice and sparkling water (or sprite if you want it to be super sweet) and give a gentle stir or two.
3Garnish with sliced lime, a cherry or two and a few mint leaves for an elegant presentation.
4It is possible to increase the ingredients on this drink and make them in a pitcher, but I highly recommend against it. The flavor combinations don't come out quite right poured compared to individually mixed.
