Besides being a refreshing beverage, this Bourbon Mint Iced Tea has the bonus of having a bourbon kick to it. Of course if you don't drink alcohol you can leave it out.

Ingredients

  • 1 large
    lemon, cut into 8 slices
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/3 c
    mint leaves
  • 1/2 c
    fresh orange juice (4 oz.)
  • 1/2 c
    fresh lemon juice (4 oz.)
  • 1 c
    bourbon (8 oz.)
  • 4 c
    ice cubes (more or less depending on how large your pitcher is)
  • 1 qt
    unsweetened iced tea (40 oz.)

How to Make Bourbon Mint Iced Tea

Step-by-Step

  1. In a two-quart pitcher, muddle or mash the lemon wedges, sugar and mint leaves with a large wooden spoon until a thick syrup forms. Add the orange juice, lemon juice and bourbon and stir to combine. Fill the pitcher with ice cubes and add the iced tea, then stir to combine.
