This is an old Mexican mix called Michelada, made with fresh lime juice instead of concentrate, and served in a tall glass.

    lime, cut into 8 wedges
  • 1/4 c
    coarse salt
  • 2
    chilled 12-oz bottles beer (not dark; preferably a lighter-style lager)
  • 1/2 c
    thawed frozen limeade concentrate
  • 1/2 c
    chilled tequila
  • ·
    ice cubes

How to Make Beer Margaritas

Step-by-Step

  1. Rub lime wedges around rims of 4 Margarita glasses.
  2. Dip rims in salt to coat lightly.
  3. In a medium pitcher, combine beer, limeade, and tequila.
  4. Fill prepared glasses with ice, then with margarita mixture.
  5. Garnish with remaining lime wedges.
  6. Serve immediately.
