This is an old Mexican mix called Michelada, made with fresh lime juice instead of concentrate, and served in a tall glass.

Ingredients

lime, cut into 8 wedges
1/4 c
coarse salt
2
chilled 12-oz bottles beer (not dark; preferably a lighter-style lager)
1/2 c
thawed frozen limeade concentrate
1/2 c
chilled tequila
ice cubes

How to Make Beer Margaritas

Step-by-Step

  • 1Rub lime wedges around rims of 4 Margarita glasses.
  • 2Dip rims in salt to coat lightly.
  • 3In a medium pitcher, combine beer, limeade, and tequila.
  • 4Fill prepared glasses with ice, then with margarita mixture.
  • 5Garnish with remaining lime wedges.
  • 6Serve immediately.
