This is the most decadent dessert I've ever made. I'm asked all the time to make it for parties.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
  • 1 1/2 cups cold water
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding (4 serving size)
  • 2 cups whipping cream, whipped
  • 1/4 cup plus 1 tbsp orange juice
  • 6 cups angel food cake cubes (about 10 oz.)
  • 1 1/2 pounds fresh peaches, pared and sliced or 1 (29 oz.) can sliced peaches, drained
  • 1/2 cup red raspberry preserves
  • - toasted sliced almonds and additional preserves

How To Make yummy peach trifle

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk and water. Add pudding mix; beat well. Chill 5 min. Fold in whipped cream and 1 tbsp orange juice.
  • Step 2
    Place 3 cups cake cubes in 3-4 qt. glass serving bowl. Sprinkle with 2 tbsp orange juice. top with half the peaches, 1/2 cup preserves and half the pudding mixture. Repeat layering with remaining cake, orange juice, peach slices and pudding.
  • Step 3
    Garnish with almonds and preserves if desired. Chill thoroughly. Refrigerate leftovers.
  • Step 4
    At the grocery store I go to they make large angel food cup cakes. I take these and cut them in pieces, it works real good.
