yummy bread pudding

Made this tonight using a couple different recipes and combining to make it my own. Enjoy.. It's delicious!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 5 - large beaten eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups deli style real italian bread (cubed)
  • 1 1/2 cups cinnamon bread (cubed)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • TOPPING MIXTURE (INGREDIENTS ARE LISTED ABOVE ALSO)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter

How To Make yummy bread pudding

  • Step 1
    Cube your breading and put in a bowl or in the pan to dry the bread out or stale it
  • Step 2
    Preheat oven to 325-350 degrees, Grease 13-9 pan
  • Step 3
    Mix together sugar, eggs, evap. milk, milk in a bowl and add vanilla. Pour over the drying or stale bread. Let set for 10-15 minutes
  • Step 4
    Mix up the ingredients for your sauce. Brown sugar, pecans, nutmeg, cinnamon and butter. pour, shake the mixture over the waiting bread pudding.
  • Step 5
    Bake for 30-40 minutes (till golden Brown and bubbly)
  • Step 6
    Remove, cool a bit and serve with whipped cream of vanilla icecream for a real treat.
