sweet rice
An old family favorite dish handed down from generatios. I tried for years to get this recipe right and finally found the right taste. This dish, as the story goes is a Native American dish and has been loved by my family for decades and by all generations. Being born and raised here in Texas, I know there must be many many more families who grew up loving this sweet pudding of rice. This version is my family's take on a wonderfully sweet and toothsome treat. Slàinte

Ingredients
- 1 cup rice, uncooked
- 4 tablespoons butter, unsalted
- 2-3 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/4-1/2 cup milk, whole
- 1/2 cup sugar
How To Make sweet rice

Step 1Cook rice according to directions.

Step 2Once rice is cooked transfer to mixing bowl. Add all other ingredients and mix well. Adjust levels of butter, cinnamon, and milk to personal tastes.. Add more butter, sugar, or cinnamon if you like. This recipe is very flexible.

Step 3Divide into warm dessert bowls and serve immediately.
