super easy rice pudding

I'm not real familiar with rice pudding but had some left over jasime rice after dinner one night and wanted to try it. This was delicious hot and cold as well. I used nutmeg, cinnamon, and orange peel in mine while cooking. The nutmeg could also have been sprinkled on top to nice effect. The orange of course can be left out.

Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked jasime rice
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup 1 percent milk
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS
- - nutmeg
- - cinnamon
- - orange peel
- - vanilla

Step 1Combine first five ingredients in a heavy saucepan and bring to a simmer. Add flavorings if desired. (Add them to taste...and of course tasting it is the fun part!)

Step 2Continue simmering while stirring pretty frequently until desired consistency.

Step 3Remove from heat and serve warm. Alternately put the pudding in a pretty bowl and press plastic wrap over the top and refrigerate till cold.
