Ingredients For slow cooker rice pudding w/ cherries & almonds

3/4 cgranulated sugar

1/2 carborio rice

1/4 cdried cherries

2 Tbspground almonds
-
1 tsplemon zest, grated

pinch of salt

4 cmilk
-
2eggs
-
1 tspalmond extract
-
toasted sliced almonds, optional

heavy cream, optional
How To Make slow cooker rice pudding w/ cherries & almonds

1In a lightly greased slow cooker insert, mix together sugar, rice, cherries, almonds, lemon zest and salt.

2Whisk together milk, eggs and almond extract. Stir into rice mixture.

3Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 hours, until rice is tender and pudding is set.

4Serve warm, garnished with toasted almonds and heavy cream, if desired.
