This recipe was given to me by one of my mother's best friends because after tasting it, I had to have the recipe. It is just so creamy and delicious but very time consuming as you have to sit & stir everything on low heat.

milk, whole

heavy cream
1 c
rice, long grain
6 large
3 tsp
pure vanilla extract
1 c
1 dash(es)

How to Make Rice Pudding


  • 1Put milk, heavy cream, rice & salt in large pot over low heat. Cook very slowly, stirring continuously until all the rice comes to the top (could take up to 1hr to 1 1/2hr) Remove pot from heat
  • 2Beat eggs, vanilla and sugar together
  • 3Gradually add egg mixture to rice mixture, continue to stir until well blended.

    Can be eaten warm or cold topped with whipped cream & cinnamon if desired!
