I have read several recipes on this...this is the one my family likes. We prefer it with out the raisens.I also like that you don't have to cook the rice ahead.I am the only one who ikes nutmeg, so I sprinkle it on top of mine.

Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups milk
- 1/2 cup minute rice (uncooked)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- - nutmeg (optional) for garnish
How To Make rice pudding

Step 1Combine milk, rice, sugar and salt in pan. Bring to a boil stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer 6 minutes.

Step 2Beat egg and vanilla in small bowl. Add a little hot mixture to it to tempur, then all to pan. Cook on low 1 minute. Remove from heat and let cool for 30...(if you can wait that long!)
