My whole family and friends who told me they didn't even like rhubarb love this.It has been in my family for years.

Ingredients For rhubarb pudding

  • 1 c
    flour
  • 1 c
    sour milk
  • USE 1 TABLESPOON VINEGAR TO SOUR THE 1 CUP MILK
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 c
    shortening
  • WE USE BUTTER OR MARGARINE
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • THIS CUP IS POURED ON TOP OF THE BATTER AND RHUBARB
  • 1 c
    boiling water
  • 3 c
    chopped rhubarb

How To Make rhubarb pudding

  • 1
    Mix the first 6 ingredients;spread in a 9x13 baking dish or pan.Spread rhubarb;add sugar and boiling water.Dot with butter,cinnamom and nutmeg (optional). Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
