Ingredients

  • - 2 tbs butter
  • - 1 cup milk
  • - 1 cup sugar
  • - 2 cups flour
  • - 1 tsp baking soda
  • - 1 tsp nutmeg
  • - 1 tsp cinnamon
  • - 1 tsp salt
  • - 1 cup raisins
  • - 1 1/2 cups apples, peeled and chopped
  • - 1 cup walnuts, or to taste
  • - 2 cups brown sugar
  • - 4 tbsp butter
  • - 2 cups water

How To Make pioneer pudding

  • Step 1
    Cream butter (2 Tbsp), milk, and sugar. Add flour, baking soda, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt. Fold in raisins, apples and nuts. Pour into a greased 9 X 13 pan. Bring the brown sugar, butter (4 Tbsp), and water to a boil. Pour over the batter int the pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
