I have never actually made or eaten this recipe as it was just handed down to me for my estranged grandmother.

persimmon pulp
1 c
sugar
4 Tbsp
butter
2
eggs, well beaten
1/2 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
cinnamon
1 c
flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1/4 c
milk
1/2 c
raisins
1/2 c
walnuts

How to Make Persimmon Pudding

Step-by-Step

  • 1Mash persimmon pulp. Mix ingredients together in order given. Pour mixture in well-greased mold. Set inside covered steamer and steam for 1 1/2hours. DO NOT remove lid during cooking. Serve hot with sauce or whip cream.
