This recipe was passed on to me by a friend and it sounds so much like my Mothers recipe (that I can't find)...I will be trying this as soon as the season gets here.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups persimmon pulp
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup cream

How To Make persimmon pudding

  • Step 1
    combine pulp with the baking soda, mix well, add remaining ingredients, mix well, pour mixture into a 9 x 13 greased baking dish.
  • Step 2
    bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour.
