This recipe was passed on to me by a friend and it sounds so much like my Mothers recipe (that I can't find)...I will be trying this as soon as the season gets here.

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    persimmon pulp
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 3 large
    eggs
  • 1 1/2 c
    buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1/4 c
    cream

How to Make Persimmon Pudding

Step-by-Step

  1. combine pulp with the baking soda, mix well, add remaining ingredients, mix well, pour mixture into a 9 x 13 greased baking dish.
  2. bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour.
