How to Make Old-Fashioned Custard


  1. Place milk in saucepan and heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix the eggs, sugar, salt, lemon juice, vanilla, and nutmeg. Add heated milk.
  3. Place in a casserole. Place the casserole in a baking pan filled part way with water.
  4. Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees,
