OLD, old recipe from Mom's archives, which I love! The beautiful custardy texture is the smoothest things you'll ever eat, It was always on the table for Easter, looking forward to making it again this year......

Ingredients
- 4 - eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 cups heavy cream
- 3 cups whole milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 3 cups cooked rice, cooled
- 1 cup raisins (optional)
How To Make old fashion rice pudding

Step 1Beat eggs & sugar

Step 2Slowly pour in milk and cream--Mix well

Step 3Add Vanilla and Cinnamon--Mix well

Step 4Add rice & raisins (if using)-- stir to combine.

Step 5Pour mixture into a greased casserole dish - Place the casserole inside a LARGER oven proof pan/dish. Add 2" water to the larger pan/dish or about 1/2 way up the side of the rice dish. (This method will help the pudding to have a custard texture) Which makes this Rice Pudding the best!!!!

Step 6Bake for about 30 minutes -- Gently stir-- Bake for an additional 30 minutes or until a knife comes out clean. Serve warm.
