old-fashion bread pudding with bourbon sauce

Ingredients
- 16 ounces loaf day-old french bread, cubed
- 2 (12oz) cans evaporated milk
- 1 cup water
- 6 large eggs
- 1 (8oz) can crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 large red delicious apple, grated
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 5 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/4 cup butter, cut up and softened
- - bourbon sauce
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons bourbon
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
How To Make old-fashion bread pudding with bourbon sauce

Step 1Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine first 3 ingredients; stir in eggs, blending well. Stir in pineapple and next 4 ingredients. Stir in butter, blending well. Pour mixture into a greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Bake 35-45 minutes or until set. Serve with Bourbon Sauce.

Step 2BOURBON SAUCE: Melt butter in a small saucepan; whisk in flour and cook 5 minutes. Stir in sugar and whipping cream; cook 3 minutes. Stir in bourbon, vanilla and nutmeg and simmer 5 minutes.
