Light and fluffy, this bread pudding almost tastes like French toast. The bread is soft and custardy. Once baked, the top bread gets slightly crispy, which is a nice contrast to the pudding. Ingredients

  • 1 - loaf French bread
  • 1 quart milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • BOURBON SAUCE
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 3 tablespoons bourbon

  • Tear bread into pieces.

    Tear bread into pieces.
  • Soak in milk for 1 hour.

    Soak in milk for at least one hour. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Beat eggs, vanilla, and sugar.
