mr creamy rice pudding

I know, I know, this is a recipe I got off a box of Minute Rice a long time ago. This is so good, and my family ate it up so fast. Now that it is down to just the two of us, I still don't have any left overs. I still keep a large box of Minute Rice in the pantry, just for this rice pudding.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 - egg, well beaten
  • 1 large jell-o vanilla pudding mix, cook and serve (4.6 oz) or 2 small boxes)
  • - do not use instant pudding mix
  • 1 cup dry minute rice
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

How To Make mr creamy rice pudding

  • Step 1
    Stir milk and egg into pan. Gradually, add pudding mix. Stir in rice and raisins. (As milk mixtures warms up the pudding powder will disolve.)
  • Step 2
    Cook over medium heat. Stir until it boils. Do not let it stick to bottom of pan or it will burn. Pour into serving bowls ( 4 ) In my case, 1 small bowl for me, and the rest in a large bowl for my husband.
