mom's raisin bread pudding
The recipe was a favorite of my mom's. Although mom is gone, her recipe lives on and is now made by my daughter and granddaughters. We all love it. You can pour lemon sauce or homemade whipped cream over the top and it's twice as good.

Ingredients
- 3 3/4 cups milk
- 5 - eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons good vanilla
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups raisin bread cut into cubes
- - hot water
How To Make mom's raisin bread pudding

Step 1In a 1/2 quart casserole beat milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt with a wire whisk or fork until blended.

Step 2Stir in bread cubes.

Step 3Set casserole in an 8"x8" baking pan; place pan on oven rack.

Step 4Pour hot water into pan to come halfway up side of casserole.

Step 5Bake at 325 for 1 1/4 hours or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

Step 6Serve pudding warm with lemon sauce or homemade whipped cream.

Step 7Can be covered, refrigerated and served cold.
