Ingredients

2 Tbsp
melted butter
1
loaf of french bread
4
eggs
1 1/2 c
milk may be 2%
1/2 c
sugar
2 tsp
vanilla extract
1 c
raisins
2 tsp
cinnamon, ground

VANILLA PUDDING

3/4 c
sugar
1/3 c
flour
1/8 tsp
salt
2
eggs well beaten
2 c
scalded milk
1 tsp
vanilla

How to Make Mom's Bread Pudding

Step-by-Step

  • 1Pour melted butter in bottom of 8 x 11 glass baking dish. Combine beaten eggs and all other ingredients with cubed bread and pour over butter.
    Bake at 325 for 30 min.
    Serve with vanilla pudding. Serve warm
  • 2Pudding: Mix sugar, flour & eggs. Pour into scalded milk. Cook & stir constantly till thick (pudding consistancy) Add vanilla.
  • 3To prevent pudding from getting a scum on top cover with wax paper immediately till served.
