This recipe came from a Church Homecoming Cookbook and is one of our favorites.

all purpose flour
1 1/4 stick
margarine, room temperature
3/4 c
chopped nuts
1 (8 oz.) pkg
cream cheese, room temperature
1 c

cool whip (reserve 1 cup for mixture-layer 2)
2 small pkg
lemon instant pudding mix

How to Make Lemon Lush Dessert


  • 1Layer 1: Mix flour, margarine and nuts blending well. Press into the bottom of an ungreaed 9x13 dish. Bake 15-20 minutes on 375 degrees until lightly browned.
  • 2Layer 2: Mix cream cheese, sugar and 1 cup Cool Whip until well blended and spread over warm crust. Allow to cool before adding next layer.
  • 3Layer 3: Mix lemon pudding and milk and let it begin to set up. Pour over Layer 2.
  • 4Layer 4: Spread remaining Cool Whip over top. Store in refrigerator until ready to serve.
