1In a medium saucepan, combine the flour and brown sugar.
3Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly.
4Cook and stir for 1 minute more.
6Gradually stir about 1 cup hot mixture into egg yolks.
7Return all to the saucepan.
9Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
11Stir in butter and vanilla.
12Cool to room temperature while stirring occasionally.
13Fold in the whipped cream.
14Layer 1/3 of the pudding in a 2-quart glass bowl.
15Top with half of the bananas.
17Top with remaining pudding.
18Cover and chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
