Ingredients
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 cups milk
- 2 - egg yolks, beaten
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream, whipped
- 4 to 6 - firm bananas, sliced
How To Make layered banana pudding

Step 1In a medium saucepan, combine the flour and brown sugar.

Step 2Stir in milk.

Step 3Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly.

Step 4Cook and stir for 1 minute more.

Step 5Remove from the heat.

Step 6Gradually stir about 1 cup hot mixture into egg yolks.

Step 7Return all to the saucepan.

Step 8Bring to a gentle boil.

Step 9Cook and stir for 2 minutes.

Step 10Remove from the heat.

Step 11Stir in butter and vanilla.

Step 12Cool to room temperature while stirring occasionally.

Step 13Fold in the whipped cream.

Step 14Layer 1/3 of the pudding in a 2-quart glass bowl.

Step 15Top with half of the bananas.
-
Step 16Repeat layers.

Step 17Top with remaining pudding.

Step 18Cover and chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
