- 1/4 cup long grain rice, uncooked
- 2 tablespoons + 2 tsp granulated sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon butter
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup raisins (optional)
- ground nutmeg, sprinkled on top
- ground cinnamon, sprinkled on top

Step 1Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Step 2In a small Dutch oven, mix milk, rice, sugar, butter, and salt.

Step 3Place the Dutch oven uncovered on a cookie sheet and put it in the oven.
