  • 3 c
    milk or ricemilk
  • 1 1/2 c
    cooked bismati rice
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/4 c
  • 2-3 Tbsp
    shredded coconut
  • 1
    cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 c
    slivered almonds

How to Make Kheer ( Indian Rice Pudding )


  1. Combine all the ingredients except almonds in saucepan cook for 30 minutes over low heat. Stir occasionally Transfer mixture to a bowl and chill 1-2 hours, when ready to serve remove cinnamon spoon into bowls the mixture and top with almonds or chopped pistachio.
