a unique sweet and refreshing dessert, cleans the palate after a spicy dinner. I forgot which if my friends passed this to me but its so good!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups milk or ricemilk
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked bismati rice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 2-3 tablespoons shredded coconut
  • 1 - cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds

How To Make kheer ( indian rice pudding )

  • Step 1
    Combine all the ingredients except almonds in saucepan cook for 30 minutes over low heat. Stir occasionally Transfer mixture to a bowl and chill 1-2 hours, when ready to serve remove cinnamon spoon into bowls the mixture and top with almonds or chopped pistachio.
