Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, room temperature
  • 1/3 c
    cornstarch
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/2 c
    evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 c
    hot water
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How to Make Homemade Chocolate Pudding

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt chocolate and butter in microwave. Set aside.
  2. Mix cornstarch, sugar and salt together, stir in 1/4 c. evap milk then add the melted chocolate and blend. Stir in remaining milk and water and cook in microwave for approx. 10 min on high. Stopping to stir at 5 min. then every 2 min. so cornstarch does not clump. Add vanilla and pour into cups. Chill. Makes great pie filling also.
