Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons butter, room temperature
  • 1/3 cup cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How To Make homemade chocolate pudding

  • Step 1
    Melt chocolate and butter in microwave. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    Mix cornstarch, sugar and salt together, stir in 1/4 c. evap milk then add the melted chocolate and blend. Stir in remaining milk and water and cook in microwave for approx. 10 min on high. Stopping to stir at 5 min. then every 2 min. so cornstarch does not clump. Add vanilla and pour into cups. Chill. Makes great pie filling also.
