Ingredients

4 c
bread, white
2 c
scalded milk
3/4 c
sugar
1 Tbsp
butter
1/4 tsp
salt
4
eggs beaten
1 tsp
vanilla
1/2 c
raisins

How to Make Helen's Bread Pudding

Step-by-Step

  • 1Soak bread in scalded milk for 5 minutes.
  • 2Add sugar,butter,and salt.
  • 3Add beaten eggs and vanilla and mix well.
  • 4Fold in raisins and mix well.Can add more raisins if you'd like.
  • 5Pour into greased baking dish.
  • 6Put a pan of water on bottom rack under bread pudding.
  • 7Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour until firm.
