I had to play with this recipe to give exact measurements. My mother and Grandmother did not use measuring cups and spoons, they knew how much of everything to use. I hope you and your family enjoy it as much as we do!

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 box nila wafers
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 - eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract

How To Make granny's banana pudding

  • Step 1
    Heat milk, sugar, eggs, salt, and flavorings in a medium saucepan on med high, stirring frequently. Do not scorch. Pudding will thicken as it cooks, and as it cools.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, add wafers,bananas, and pudding in that exact order until you reach desired depth.
  • Step 3
    Let cool in refrigerator at least 30 min. Serve chilled.
