Ingredients For nonna rosa's bread pudding

  • 2 c
    day old bread (or end of a loaf)
  • 3/4 c
    white sugar (reserve 1/4 cup to sprinkle top before cooking)
  • 1/4 c
    cinnamon, ground
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 4
    (whole eggs)
  • 1 1/2 c
    2% milk

How To Make nonna rosa's bread pudding

    Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. 8x8 ungreased baking pan.

    Tear bread into small pieces...in large mixing bowl combine all ingredients and mix well. ( You can add nuts fruit or raisins to this mixture if desired) Sprinkle top with reserved sugar to form sweet crust as it bakes.

    Bake for 40-50 minutes...until bread pudding rises and is firm. Serve warm with butter.
