Good Ol’ Nanner Puddin’
How to Make Good Ol’ Nanner Puddin’
- In small bowl, mix cornstarch, salt, sugar and 1 cup of the milk. Bring remaining 3 cups milk to boil in large pan and add sugar mixture. Stir constantly over medium heat as custard thickens.
- Reduce heat and add butter and vanilla. When pudding is thick, remove from heat and allow to cool. In large bowl, layer the vanilla wafers, bananas, and pudding, repeating layers in that order til all pudding is used.
- Top with whipped topping, cover and chill pudding before serving. An interesting twist is to use chocolate chips cookies instead of vanilla wafers for “chocolate chip” banana pudding. Serves 6 to 8
