How to Make FARM WIFE'S INDIAN PUDDING
- In a small bowl, combine cornmeal and water.
In a large saucepan, scald the milk and add cornmeal mixture, stirring to prevent lumps. Cook over low heat for 20 minutes or until thickened. Add salt, spices, and molasses.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 1-1/2 quart casserole dish. Bake in a preheated 325-degree oven for two hours and 10 minutes.
- Serve while still warm with heavy cream, vanilla ice cream, or a hard sauce.
