Ingredients
- 16 slices day old, firm textered white bread
- 2 1/4 cups milk
- 1 package mixed dried fruits or mix of dried apricots, cranberries & raisins
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
- 1 medium apple, cored, peeled and chopped into pieces
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 - egg slightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves (optional)
How To Make english bread pudding

Step 1Tear bread into 1" pieces. Place in a well greased crock pot or baking dish. Pour milk over the bread and let soak for 30 mins.

Step 2Stir in dried fruits, nuts and apple pieces.

Step 3Combine melted butter, brown sugar, egg and spices in a small bowl. Pour over the bread & fruit mixture. Stir to blend.

Step 4Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours in the crock pot or 300 degrees for 2-3 hours. Just watch and check periodically.
