One of my dad's favorite desserts was Egg Custard ... I made this and now it is my daughters ...

Ingredients

  • 4 - eggs
  • 2 cups (1 pint) half and half
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • a pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

How To Make egg custard

  • Step 1
    Preheat the oven to 325° F.
  • Step 2
    Add the ingredients to blender and mix, about 10 seconds.
  • Step 3
    Pour into ramekins, sprinkle with nutmeg, and put the ramekins in a baking dish.
  • Step 4
    Add water to the baking dish until it’s halfway up the sides of the ramekins.
  • Step 5
    Bake for 45 minutes or until just set. Makes 6 (4 ounce) servings.
