easy berry compote

This is a easy fruit sauce anyone can do. Just dont tell people how easy it was.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups mixed berries (blackberries,blueberries, raspberries & strawberries) sliced & divided.
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup minute tapioca pudding
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup cool whip, thawed

How To Make easy berry compote

  • Step 1
    First in a medium saucepan crush 2 cups of the berries with a fork or masher. Then add in the remaining 2 cups berries, sugar & tapioca. Mix very well, stir in the water & let stand for 5 mins.
  • Step 2
    Next bring to full boil over medium heat. Make sure to stir constantly. Pour into a serving bowl. Cool slightly & cover with a plastic wrap.
  • Step 3
    Then refrigerate for about 3 hours or until thickened. Then spoon evenly into a dessert dish & top with COOL WHIP.
  • Step 4
    Special Tip: You can spoon over vanilla ice cream or a slice of pie or cake.
