Ingredients
- BREAD PUDDING
- 6 to 8 - stale glazed donuts
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 2 - eggs, beaten
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
- 1 - small can of fruit cocktail, pureed
- 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- PECAN CARAMEL SAUCE
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup roasted pecan pieces
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
How To Make donut bread pudding with pecan caramel sauce

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Cut each donut into 6 pieces and place in a large mixing bowl. In another bowl, beat eggs, add milk,salt,cinnamon, pureed fruit cocktail, vanilla extract and raisins. Pour over donuts, cover and refrigerate overnight.

Step 3In a 9 X 13 in casserole dish, melt stick of butter. Add bread pudding and cook for 1 hour or until firm.

Step 4To prepare pecan caramel sauce mix sugar and water in heavy sauce pan to boil for 5 to 7 minutes. Reduce heat, gradually add heavy whipping cream and pecans. Cook for 2 to 4 minutes or until thick. Turn off heat and stir in vanilla extract. Pour over cool bread pudding.
