My mother found this recipe years ago and we always had it on Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's always been my favorite!!

Ingredients
- 2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 cup chopped dates
- 1/2 cup pecans, halved
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- MIX TOP INGREDIENTS TOGETHER AND POUR INTO 9X13 BAKING DISH
- 2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 1/2 cups boiling water
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- MIX TOGETHER AND POUR OVER BATTER
How To Make date pudding

Step 1Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes or until batter looks set. It will be gooey under the cake part. Garnish with whipped cream.
