My mother found this recipe years ago and we always had it on Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's always been my favorite!!

Ingredients For date pudding

  • 2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 c
    chopped dates
  • 1/2 c
    pecans, halved
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, softened
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • MIX TOP INGREDIENTS TOGETHER AND POUR INTO 9X13 BAKING DISH
  • 2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 1/2 c
    boiling water
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla extract
  • MIX TOGETHER AND POUR OVER BATTER

How To Make date pudding

  • 1
    Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes or until batter looks set. It will be gooey under the cake part. Garnish with whipped cream.
