I had this homemade Rice Pudding at a Christmas Party many years ago and had to get the recipe because it was the best Rice Pudding I ever ate and had to make for my family.

Ingredients
- 1 cup regular white rice
- 1 quart whole milk
- 1/2 stick butter
- 20 ounces whole milk
- 12 ounces evaporated milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 5 - eggs
How To Make creamy rice pudding

Step 1Cook rice, milk and butter in a double boiler until rice is done (actually when the rice has absorbed all the milk).

Step 2Mix in a deep baking dish (2-1/2 qts) the beaten eggs, milk, evaporated milk, sugar and vanilla. Add the cooked rice mixture and stir. Put baking dish in a pan of water (about inch) and bake in the oven for 60 minutes. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg. Raisins are optional...my family does not like raisins in their rice pudding. 325 degree oven temperature
