This recipe came about because I was wanting a rice pudding that was creamy instead of dry. After a few tries I reached success. Now any time there is a hankering for rice pudding by anyone of friends or family I pull out this recipe. I hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.

Ingredients
- 4 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup white sugar, divided
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 2 slices of an orange
- 1/2 cup long grain rice, rinsed
- 2 teaspoons corn starch
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
How To Make creamy rice pudding

Step 1Combine milk, 1/4C sugar, cinnamon and Orange slices in saucepan, bring to boil. Add rice and simmer over low heat until tender, approximately 30 min

Step 2As rice finishes cooking combine remaining 1/4C sugar and cornstarch. Whisk in egg until completely smooth.

Step 3Temper egg mixture with 1/3 milk-rice mixture and to remaining rice, stirring constantly with whisk.Continue cooking and stirring until mixture boils.

Step 4Remove from heat and remove orange slices and cinnamon. Add vanilla stir til blended. Cover and refrigerate til completely chilled
