Creamy Rice Pudding
4 cwhole milk
1/2 cwhite sugar, divided
2 sliceof an orange
1/2 clong grain rice, rinsed
2 tspcorn starch
1 tsppure vanilla extract
How to Make Creamy Rice Pudding
- Combine milk, 1/4C sugar, cinnamon and Orange slices in saucepan, bring to boil. Add rice and simmer over low heat until tender, approximately 30 min
- As rice finishes cooking combine remaining 1/4C sugar and cornstarch. Whisk in egg until completely smooth.
- Temper egg mixture with 1/3 milk-rice mixture and to remaining rice, stirring constantly with whisk.Continue cooking and stirring until mixture boils.
- Remove from heat and remove orange slices and cinnamon. Add vanilla stir til blended. Cover and refrigerate til completely chilled
